Author bios are not E-E-A-T. Here's what is.

Trust is built off the page. The page just has to prove you exist.

What actually moves the needle

  • The same author publishing on multiple credible sites about the same topic.
  • Cited primary research, not aggregated stats from someone else's blog.
  • Reviews and quotes from named experts with verifiable backgrounds.
  • Original imagery, screenshots and walkthroughs that prove first hand experience.
  • A clear, easy to find publisher footprint. About page, ownership, contact, editorial policy.

What does not

A photo of a smiling person at the bottom of an article does not, on its own, do anything measurable. Schema markup of an Author entity does not either. These are nice to have. They are not the work.

The work is making sure the people writing for you are actually known for the topic. That takes time. There is no plugin for it.
